Washington County, Ohio is host to six school systems dedicated to providing the county’s children with a top-notch education that will prepare them for work, college and life.

Schools throughout the county boast highly qualified teachers, small class sizes, involved parents and dedicated administrators. While geographically a large county, school districts are nestled in key population centers, creating a “neighborhood school” feeling for even the largest schools.

Aside from first rate public schools, Washington County is home to a number of alternative learning opportunities including faith-based private schools and preschools.

The County has a career center, a state two-year college and a private four-year college. 

The Washington County Career Center provides adult students with hands-on training programs for a number of sought after employment opportunities county-wide. Washington State Community College is a two-year state institution and Marietta College is a four year private college.

The school system offers numerous special education programs across the region to provide structured learning programs and one-on-one therapy for students on all educational levels.
